By booking work with Skillen Industries Diesel, supplying a vehicle for inspection, repair or tuning, purchasing parts, or accepting a quotation, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Skillen Industries Diesel provides a workmanship warranty on general repair and installation work for:
3 months or 5,000 kilometres (whichever occurs first)
from the original invoice date, unless otherwise stated in writing.
This warranty applies only to defects directly caused by our workmanship.
Warranty claims must be returned to Skillen Industries Diesel for inspection and assessment before any repairs are undertaken elsewhere.
Unauthorised third-party repairs may void warranty consideration.
Performance tuning and aftermarket upgrades are intended to improve vehicle drivability, towing performance and overall performance.
By proceeding, the customer acknowledges:
Vehicles must be mechanically sound before tuning.
Skillen Industries Diesel reserves the right to refuse tuning where mechanical concerns are identified.
Skillen Industries Diesel does not provide warranty coverage for failure of:
unless failure is directly proven to result from negligent workmanship by Skillen Industries Diesel.
Claims such as:
“It was fine before the tune”
do not constitute proof of liability.
Dyno tuning services are custom performance services based on the vehicle’s condition at the time of tuning.
The customer acknowledges:
Dyno bookings may require a deposit.
Diagnostic inspections and fault-finding are chargeable services.
Payment is due regardless of repair outcome.
Diagnostic services may identify:
but do not guarantee immediate identification of all faults.
Further diagnostic time may be required.
Parts supplied by Skillen Industries Diesel are covered by the relevant manufacturer or supplier warranty only, unless otherwise required by Australian Consumer Law.
Warranty claims are subject to:
Parts warranty does not automatically include labour for removal, refitting or associated downtime unless specifically approved.
Warranty does not cover:
Electrical components are generally non-returnable unless confirmed faulty.
Skillen Industries Diesel may install customer-supplied parts at our discretion.
Where customer-supplied parts are fitted:
No liability is accepted for failure of customer-supplied components.
Skillen Industries Diesel may use trusted third-party subcontractors for specialised work.
Where subcontracted work is performed:
Timing may vary depending on subcontractor availability.
Deposits may be required for:
Deposits are generally non-refundable once parts are ordered or workshop time is reserved, except where required by law.
We understand circumstances change.
Bookings may generally be rescheduled without penalty.
Late cancellations may result in:
Failure to attend a confirmed booking without notice may result in:
Returns are not accepted for:
Approved returns may attract:
Return approval is at management discretion where legally permitted.
For finance-assisted jobs:
Where customer cancellation causes provider fees, admin costs or unrecoverable charges, those costs may be passed on where legally permitted.
Quotes are based on information available at the time provided.
Additional work may be required where:
Estimates are not fixed quotes unless clearly stated.
Vehicles should be collected promptly once work is complete.
Storage charges may apply where vehicles remain onsite without arrangement.
Uncollected vehicles may be handled in accordance with applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skillen Industries Diesel is not liable for:
